Queensland Physiotherapy accepts referrals for patient treatment under the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Allied Health Professionals program.

Veterans must have a general practitioners referral (ensure that the correct DVA form is used) and bring their DVA card along with them to the initial appointment. Once we have the referral letter, no further action is necessary, as we bill DVA directly. No gap payment or surcharge applies.

We recommend that patients contact the DVA as a first step to ensure that the treatment they are seeking is covered under the program and is relevant to their specific condition.
