Ivan Lorenzo Collazo

Physiotherapist

Iván, originally from the north of Spain, brings a wealth of international experience and a passion for sports to Queensland Physiotherapy. He graduated from the University of Vigo (Spain) in 2018 and further enriched his education with international internships at Rigas Stradins University in Riga (Latvia) and the Catholic University of Uruguay in Montevideo (Uruguay). He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Sports from Spain.

Iván is a sports enthusiast with a passion for exploring new cultures. He worked as a physiotherapist in Spain before moving to New Zealand. There, he immersed himself in the local culture, won a regional Rugby Union competition in 2021, and played Rugby League in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. He also played Rugby Union in Spain and has been passionate about soccer since childhood. Additionally, he was a professional surf lifeguard in Spain during busy summers, adding to his extensive sports background.

With a particular interest in sports injuries and musculoskeletal issues, Iván is dedicated to continuous learning. He frequently updates his knowledge through courses, webinars, and medical literature. Now, Iván has joined Queensland Physiotherapy in Brisbane to further his career and share his expertise. Iván is multilingual, speaking Spanish and Galician (his native languages), English, and can also communicate in Portuguese. He enjoys learning new languages. Outside of work, you can often find him playing Rugby Union with a local team, watching footy games, or catching waves while surfing on the Gold Coast.
